B2B: bespoke breathing masks, made in Italy

Updated: May 28, 2020

We received this message from our producer in Italy:

“I just wanted to update you on my new "breathing mask" project which I consider very valuable. I will start with producing cotton masks with OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified filters. The masks are washable, filtering and breathable.”

In Italy, they have felt much impact from the outbreak of COVID-19. Garment production has ceased to protect the safety of workers and many orders from brands are cancelled. In Italy, like many other production countries, many small/medium enterprises are at risk of bankruptcy because of this.

This family-run atelier in Italy has chosen to open (under safe conditions) to produce breathing masks. This way they can help to stop the spread of the virus and at the same time help their business to survive.

The atelier has developed bespoke masks with an excellent fit. At the top, there is a metal cord to close around the nose and the masks have an inlay for an extra filter. The masks come with a filter already inside and 3 additional filters. Each filter lasts for 8 hours. They come in adult size and two children sizes.

For B2B, one package of 3 masks is €8,70 and includes 10 additional filters. B2B orders start from 40 packages of 3 masks. If you need lower quantities, I will try to combine orders so let us know.

For B2C options, check out The Sustainability Club's Instagram page.

The atelier can customize your mask however you like it. You can pick a colour and even brand it with your logo. For custom orders, there can be an additional cost. Send us a message for more information.

The Sustainability Club offers the additional service of dying the masks with natural dye; avocado dye soft a lovely soft pink shade and nettle dye for a greyish-green hue.

The masks are non-medical, so they are meant for everyone that wants to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but not for healthcare professionals. As the demand for medical masks is very high, purchasing a non-medical mask is a good idea (or mandatory, depending on your country of residence). Then we leave the medical-grade masks for the healthcare workers who really need it.
