GREEN CLAIMS AND SUSTAINABILITY TRAINING FOR TEAMS
Your team knows the rules, and can make the call themselves.
I give training on green claims, sustainability strategy, reporting and due diligence, in-company and at events. Green claims training is the most requested. Each training is tailored to your market, with examples from your own products and work. After the training, your team can make more of these decisions themselves, and knows when to ask.
You may recognise this
New rules land on full desks
Marketing wants to know which words they can still use. Product needs to know which proof to ask suppliers for. The rules land with people who already have a full job.
Every question goes to one person
Every product text and every customer question passes your sustainability manager. You want more colleagues to know the basics, so that person has time for the bigger work.
Your team needs to see why it matters
You have a strategy or a new policy, and your colleagues want to understand what it means for their own work. You want a session that makes it concrete.
Most people in a company are experts in their own field, and few are sustainability experts. I break complex topics down into steps they understand and can act on.
Then they are asked to take on sustainability work that is new to them. They need to understand why they do it, and how. So I explain the rules, show where they fit within each person’s own responsibilities, and practise with examples from their own work. It is how I train, and how I work in every project.
What I train on
Green claims under EmpCo
A practical in-company training, tailored to your field and the types of claims you make. Your team works on its own claims, so they can do this themselves afterwards. The training teams ask for most.
Greenwashing and greenhushing
A session for events and conferences, or an introduction for your team: what is behind greenwashing and greenhushing, where they fit in the bigger picture, and practical steps to prevent both in your company.
Sustainability strategy
What a brand needs to do to manage its impact, and how the rules, your ambition and your roadmap fit together, and how to use the people, planet, prosperity model in your own strategy.
Sustainability reporting
What a good report needs, how GRI works, and how to apply it, with or without GRI.
Due diligence
The OECD steps, and what they mean for sourcing and product teams.
AI in sustainability work
Where AI helps, such as a first claims check or collecting supplier information, and where a person needs to decide.
What a training looks like
PHASE 1
Intake
In a short call we talk about your team, their questions and your market. I ask for examples: product texts, labels, supplier questions or a report section.
PHASE 2
Preparation
I prepare the session around your own examples, so the team works on real cases. For green claims, we rewrite a few of your own texts together during the session.
PHASE 3
The session
An interactive session from one hour to half a day, in-company, online or at an event. Afterwards you get the slides and, depending on the training, a handout, so the team can apply it the next day.
You get
A session tailored to your team and your market
Exercises with your own products and texts
The slides, and a handout depending on the training
Format
In-company at your office, online, or as part of an event. In Dutch or English.
Duration
From one hour to half a day. I need at least a week to prepare with your examples.
Pricing
A fixed fee per training, in the offer you receive before we start.
With AI: AI in sustainability work is also a training topic. Your team learns where AI can do a first check or collect information, and where a person needs to decide.
A team that knows why a claim works can check the next one itself.
